Our Policies

1) Meet and Greet: Before any service starts we will to your home and meet you and your animals. At this time your DWE staff member will go over your pet)s) routine so when your away you will know that we are offering Comfort, care, peace of mind and security. The meet and greets are complimentary and last between 15 and 20 minutes. We also ask at this time to give your DWE staff member 2 sets of keys to your home.

2) Cancellation

House Sits:
A one -night deposit is due upon booking any house sitting services in order to hold staff and dates. If we do not receive your deposit upon booking DWE reserves the right to cancel your booking. During major holidays there is a one-night non-refundable deposit upon booking a house sit in order to hold staff and dates. Major Holidays include: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Labor Day, Memorial Day and July 4th.  House sit deposits are refundable if given a 48-hour cancellation notice. For 24-hour cancellation notice, there is a $25 administration fee. There will be no refund for any cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled booking. Balance for house -sitting services must be received prior to the start of the house sit. DWE reserves the right to cancel any house sit if payment has not been received.

Daily Dog Walking/Cat Visits
All cancellations must be given 24 hour prior to your walk/Cat Visit. If this is not possible then we need to receive notification by 7AM the day of the walk /Cat Visit for any cancellations otherwise the full amount of the walk will be charged.

3) Key Policy
DWE requests two sets of keys. Your Keys will be tested and collected prior to the start of services during your meet and greet. Security is our top priority. Your keys are kept securely with your DWE staff member and one in our office safe.  Your keys are labeled with your pets name only.  We will not leave your keys at your home or lock them inside after your last visit/service.

4) Payment
Clients must provide a credit card upon booking services. Clients will receive an electronic invoice every 2 weeks.  Payments are processed every 2 weeks with a 2.9% credit card fee added for any amount over $100.00  Payment for house sitting services are due prior to the start of the house sit. If a house sit is canceled 24 hours ahead of time we charge a $25 administration fee. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before an appointment will result in no deposit being refunded.  During major holidays this deposit is non- refundable. (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, Easter, Labor Day, Memorial Day and July 4th). Apart from the above dates, house sit deposits are refundable if we are given 48 hours notice.
